There's no worm. He got his head caught in the chain and the driller hit the gas. End of the worm. When I worked as a Roughneck up in Wyoming back in the 70's, this long hair hippie dude got his hair caught in the chain and the driller let 'er rip It pulled off his head. Another guy on the rig told me he walked almost to the dog house before he collapsed. Said it totally freaked everyone out.

The size of the rig has to do with how much weight it can pull (depth of hole & size of pipe) Triples have their place and so do slant rigs. You cannot compare to two one is a sports car & the other is a truck, they are meant to do different tasks.

@usernametaken1932 Well I believe algae too. Hemp oil and Hemp seeds are primarily excellent food for humans, chickens and fish.Fish and birds love them. No wonder, the stuff contains all essential amino acids for humans, omega 3, 6, 9 fatty acids in good quantities, vit. D,E, magnesium, calcium. Advantage of Hemp is that is grows almost anywhere, no need to transport stuff long distances. Same is true for algae. Part of the solution is to get rid of this globalism.

@TerrierBram anything being farmed in a field is bad for society. all crop values ride on corn as its a staple for life in america. corn is feed for all animals, refined into food, ect. majority of ethanol is from corn in usa... this is not the answer. now value of corn is thruogh the roof. animals eat corn doubling the cost of meat and dairy.. bread has tripled in the past 8 years. it get a lot more complicated than this to explain here, but algae is the answer. long way down the road

@TerrierBram there is an unreal amount of bias info on the net. many are making ridiculous claims to many different ags. under PERFECT conditions you may get up to 39 gallon/acre. its my job to buy and produce with the most economic feedstock i can find. under common condition the soy bean is 49 gallons/acre, peanut 113gallons/acre, rapeseed 127gallons/acre. none of these are longterm. algae is the wave of the future. long way for it to go though.

Remember that different Cannabis breeds make different size colas. Hemp produces at least 5 times more bio mass per acre than it?s closest competitors, like sugar cane and corn. This is also determined at Cornell university, among other institutes. Now is the question how much ethanol you can get out of this.

@TerrierBram your numbers are way off. hemp seed is 28% oil yielding 112# per acre. hemp seed oil weighs around 7.5# per gallon. so the correct gallons per acre would be somewhere around 15 gallons. some people are making claims to 100 gallons an acre but thats no realistic number. Im a biodiesel manufacture and have access to very accurate numbers on the oil side. as far as the ethanol goes, i dont know. i can say for sure your 1000 gallon comment is not even remotely close to actual

A Little hard to see in the video. The brass rod is what is getting machined with the square hole. Interesting never seen this before. The steel disc that is held onto the brass with a set screw is a guide for the cutting tool to follow.

Nice, but You know what is the "hard steel"??? Soft steels like near iron (mark st3PS5, st5 and others...), industrial steels is middle in-between soft anf hard steels(mark st20, st30, st45 and others), and "hard steel" how You call it- it is the instrumental steel (tool steel). Hard steels is the alloy, and from hard steel makeing gearwheels, punchs, bearings, drills, truck half axels... (mark 40H, H12M, 9HS,, 5HNM, HSS- R9, R18, R6M5, R18K5F2, and others....). Try drill hole in a bearing.

I have my doubts!! I know alot of Coil well I've completed often don't flow as well as a conventional rigs due to a washed hole. The coil is never quite straight when it is downhole so what do you think will happen when you start rotating it??? It will make the hole bigger and the coil will start to bind creating weak spots in the pipe. Is Coil that good for torsional loads??? However, I can understand the concept but it will take alot of trial and error to make it work properly.

Had oil companies not interfered after the Ixtoc spill in the Gulf of Mexico in 1979, it would now have been mandatory to build relief wells with each rig. Had this been done the current catastrophe with Deepwater Horizon would have been very minimal. What finally worked in 1979 was a relief well which needs to be built now.

Back in the 80s I used to set wells up after they were drilled and fracked and then we would run pipe to a main line usually welded 2" we would set drips heaters ,seperators, steel and fiberglass collection tanks, we would put a anode about every 800 feet. That was in indiana county and jefferson I like the work it just was'nt steady enough. now I am a refrigeration pipefitter welder I weld pipe in the 6g from 1/2 to 48' pipe but I still miss working on the gas wells & lines.

No, that's not what Shut-in means. All of our wells are hooked up to production immediately after they are Drilled and Hydro-Frac'd. Shut-in refers to an increased pressure in the collection line. When consumer usage declines, all wells continue to "naturally" push gas through the lines from far below the Earth's surface. Sometimes the wells pressure is not as strong as the pressure already existing in the line at that particular time.

I tought I would make a video of me drilling 2 x 1 3/4" holes on my main tank since there wasn't many videos when I was trying to learn how to do it. Drilling a hole would have cost me $25 a hole at the local fish store with no guarentee of not breaking the tank. $15 for a bit that will last 5+ holes (I don't know exactly how many it will last for) is my way to do things.

@irbenson Yes, it must be a diamond bit hole saw. You can look at the hole saws at mops.ca They do ship to Canada and US. If $27 is out of you budget then I would not consider drilling you tank. If you crack it by mistake then you will be worse off. If it is one hole, fish stores do it for $25 a hole but they dont guarantee not to crack it

Is there a specific type of hole saw that is needed for glass? I found one at home depot but it was $27 and out of my budget. There is a metal one online, "RIDGID No. 7012, 1 In. Bi-Metal Hole Saw" for only $10. Great video by the way, I like your idea with a piece of wood

i have drilled plenty of tanks and my i suggest drilling the bottom if possible it makes for a quiet tank ,,,, less air and water sound ,,, i have a 125 bottom drilled that quieter than my 30 side drilled ,,, also the fittings are found at boating shops they are referred to as thru hull fittings ,,,, good luck and happy fish keeping
